Golf Course Rally

Golf Couse Rally 01

Golfers “hitting” the links at the “Village Green” golf course in Minnesota got a huge surprise when a “fugitive” pickup truck came “barreling” down the fairway with several “cop” cars in hot pursuit.

Cody Fuller caught it all on his cell phone camera. “My eyes got about the size of golf balls.”

He was golfing at the Village Green course when he found himself “smack dab” in the middle of a car chase.

Hearing about a “high speed chase” is one thing, but “seeing it on a golf course” is really something else.

“The guy turned around and jumped the ditch and got on the course and chaos just broke loose after that.”

The driver “plowed” through fairways and greens, police with “lights and sirens going” trailing behind, a helicopter “overhead,” and golfers “gawking” in disbelief.

“Yeah it was pretty crazy, especially for the golfers out here to see that coming down. There were people running. I could see in the distance people scattering and running all over the place.”

Michael Beyer, Fargo: “I’m still kind of in shock about it. Living around here you don’t see something like that every day. Should’ve been on the driving range huh?”

Mike Schroeder, Village Green Asst. Superintendent: “Saw the video, yep. I was surprised at how little damage was done. I was expecting worse.”

Grounds crew members said most of the damages have been repaired.

The fugitive driver was “arrested” facing felony “drug” charges along with felony charges for “fleeing” police and criminal “property” damage.

Moorhead police are conducting an “internal” investigation as to whether officers followed “correct protocol” in following the “suspect” onto the golf course.

Sunny day outside, “ditching” work early, getting some “beers and cigars”, leisurely playing 18 with your buds, high speed “police chase” breaks through the trees and “cruises” right across the greens.

Nothing worse than “crushing” a drive 250 off the tee dead center in the fairway, only to find out you’re right in the middle of a “one foot deep” Ford pickup tire track from the dude that just went “OJ” straight through the 9th hole.

Just your every day “casual late afternoons” on the links.

See you at the first tee…
